Everything is explained really well including a white board with magnetic cars and if you don’t get it from that Phil will be more than willing to swap and show you what he means e.g. manoeuvres. "I learnt to drive, because I wanted to gain my own independence. As I was sick of relying on family and friends for lifts, I saved up for my own lessons by working part-time while I was at university.  After having several lessons and failing four tests with my previous driving schools. I decided to change my instructor and go with Phil’s Driving School. My instructor really helped me build my confidence back up again and was very patient with me at all times.  My main problem was the reverse bay parking, but Phil really helped me, by drumming it into my head, to take my time and to have the confidence to adjust the manoeuvre if I thought it was going wrong.  My instructor was also very honest about how my driving was progressing at the end of every lesson, which really helped me focus on parts of my driving that I needed to improve on and which elements I was already good at. This really helped me when money was tight, as Phil was really honest about how many lessons I would need. 

I have now passed my driving test with Phil’s Driving School the first time I took it with him and my advice to anyone who is learning to drive is to find a good instructor that you’re happy with, as this is a really important aspect of your driving.  I also totally recommend Phil’s Driving School, and wish I had him as an instructor from the start, as I believe I would have passed my test much earlier. So my advice to anyone who wants to learn to drive is to stick with it".
